Selected-region editing
Edit a selected region while keeping the approved parent available.
Paint a local mask on a selected output, create a child variation, and compare the result without overwriting the approved parent.
The working context
Make a bounded change without flattening the revision history.
Velatura stores the mask with the local project, sends a padded crop to the selected render path, then composites the returned patch back into the full-size parent image.
A deliberate loop
Make the next decision easier to review.
01
Choose a parent
Select an approved output and enter Edit mode without losing its branch history.
02
Paint the effective region
Use the Mask inspector to brush, erase, shape, feather, invert, reuse, and refine the selected area.
03
Compare the child
Use the split comparison to judge the variation and keep the parent intact for the next decision.
What Velatura is designed to do
Protected pixels outside the effective mask remain unchanged through Velatura's local compositing step.
Important limitation
The generated region and boundary can still vary by provider, model, source, crop, resolution, and instruction. This is not a guarantee of semantic object or geometry preservation.
